Worship

Traditional Worship Service:

Sundays at 9:30 AM

Contemporary Worship Service:

Second and fourth Saturdays of every month at 5:00 PM

Currently St. John’s holds a traditional worship service every week and contemporary worship service twice a month. The Sunday service is called “traditional” because it utilizes liturgies and hymns which have been used by the Christian church for centuries. The Saturday service is called “contemporary” because it utilizes modern worship styles and songs familiar to Christians today.

In the coming months, we will be discussing the possibility of combining our traditional and contemporary services into one high-quality, blended service. This service would seek to combine the best elements of both traditional and contemporary worship styles.

St. Johns Lutheran Church and School, Westland MI

For over 135 years, St. John’s has been serving the people of Westland. We are a group of imperfect people united by a perfect God. We come from many different walks of life, but have been given the same mission. Jesus has shown us God’s love and we want to share that love with the world.

That is why St. John’s is committed to teaching with His Word and reaching with His love.
